This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by the Website.

COLLECTION AND USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We collect Your Information at various points when you use the Website. We use the data that we collect to tailor your experience on the Website, showing content that we think you might be interested in, and displaying the content according to your preferences. Please note that Quantum Shuffle DOES NOT KNOWINGLY COLLECT OR MAINTAIN INFORMATION ON THE SITE FROM THOSE UNDER 13, AND NO PART OF THE SITE IS INTENDED FOR USE BY THOSE UNDER 13.

During the process of registering on the Website, you may be asked to provide certain personal contact information such as your name, maiden name (if applicable), e-mail address, birth date, password, and an affiliation. Some of this information is visible to other members who view your profile and some of it is not.  The registration form and profile editing sections of the site indicate which information is visible when other members view your profile.  Please keep in mind that although a portion of your personal information will not be viewable by other members, once you are registered, your name will be displayed on the Websiteand you will no longer be anonymous to us or to other individuals who access the Website.

2. Membership Directory Privacy

This Website provides a directory of members.  The membership directory is only accessible to Website members.  It is not indexed by search engines nor is it available to public visitors who are not members of the Website.

3. Email Privacy

This Website provides the ability for site members to contact one another.  It does so using a system which allows members to make first contact without emails being publicly displayed on the site.  Website members who send a message to another member reveal the email address they have configured in their Member Profile to the receiver upon sending the message.  Website members who receive a message sent via the site will reveal the email address that they reply from upon replying to the message.  When using the system to send or receive messages you have the sole discretion as to whom you disclose your email address to.

4. When You Browse the Website

Log Files

Like most standard website servers, we use and maintain the information that we obtain from your browser on our server logs. This information can include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider ("ISP"), and other data. We may use this information to analyze trends, administer the Website, track user movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We may associate this information with your Personal Information to resolve technical issues and support security for our users.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored in a browser-related file on your computer's hard drive when you use the Website. Cookies are uniquely assigned to your computer, and are read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. Our primary use of cookies is to improve your experience on the Website. For example, storing a cookie on your computer allows you to login without typing the registered e-mail address or registration number and password. We also use cookies to deliver information and fresh content specific to your interests. If you do not want these cookies stored on your computer you can reject cookies by modifying your browser setting accordingly (Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences). However, if you choose to reject cookies, you may not be able to access products and services that we offer that require you to "login" or "sign in". 5. When You Use the Website to Send Messages or Respond to Messages Sent Via the Website

The Website uses a first contact email system to help members connect with each other. When a member wishes to contact another member they do so by typing their message into a page on the website.  The page does not reveal the email address of the receiver.  When the sender elects to send a message to a receiver, they are knowingly revealing their email address to the receiver at that time. The message is sent via standard Internet mail to the receiver.  If the receiver replies  to the message an internet email message is sent from their computer to the original sender - which reveals the original receiver's email to the original sender.  When using the first contact email system, you control when to disclose your e-mail address by the action of sending a message or by replying to a message sent via the system. Quantum Shuffle respects the privacy of members communications sent through the first contact email system and does not read or disclose those communications unless we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Quantum Shuffle Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law enforcement.
