Profile verification is a voluntary process where the owner of a profile sends documents to AmbassadorUniversity.com to verify their identity. A verified profile indicates that the owner of the profile was able to produce documents that provide reasonable proof of their current identity as well as historical identity and association with Ambassador College / University.
Is Profile Verification Required?
In most cases profile verification is an optional step voluntarily taken by the profile owner. In certain circumstances profile verification is required. These circumstances include (but are not limited to): *) for profile approval when no pictorial record is available for the requester, *) for profile reactivation if a profile is suspected of being fraudulant or it's logon and user name are suspected of being used by someone other than the owner.
How can I tell if a profile is verified?
You will be able to see "Verification Status: Verified" immediately under the "Member Info" header in the member profile like this:

Is profile verification an absolute guarantee of the identity of a profile owner?
There are ways to take advantage of any identity verification system. As covered in the Terms of Use, this website cannot guarentee the identity of any profile owner.
How do I have my profile verified?
To have your profile verified the following steps must be completed:
Completed copy of the AmbassadorUniversity.com Profile Verification Request (Download Here).
Attach a copy of current, government issued photo identification.
Attach a copy of an identifying document from your time at Ambassador. The document must be identifiable as an official Ambassador University/College document and show your name used in your profile, Grade reports (with grades
blanked out) and diplomas are good examples. Dance invitations or other non-official documents are not sufficient for proof of identity.
What is done with my identity documents after they are used for verification?
Your identity documents, whether electronic or paper, are destroyed. The AmbassadorUniverity.com Profile Verification Request form you submit is retained as record of your request. This form does not contain any numbers (such as driver's licence numbers) from your identity documents.

How will I be notified of the outcome of my verification request?
You will be sent an email to the email address on your member profile.
What changes will be made to my profile if I am verified?
Upon successful verification, the following changes will be made to your profile:
Your username will be changed to "FirstnameAmbassadorYearsLastname" - where AmbassadorYearsLastName is the last name on the documentation you provide to verify your attendance at Ambassador.
You will also have the field "Verification Status" changed to "Verified".
Three fields visible only to you and site moderators are updated to include the date and the names of the two documents used for verification.
